Storage bills have a reputation for surprises, usually from egress or API charges buried in the fine print. Vouchio's pricing is meant to be boring in the best way: here's exactly how each line item is calculated.

Active Storage: pay for what you actually use

Active Storage is billed per TB per month, on average daily usage across the billing period, not a snapshot on any single day. If you upload 2TB on the 1st and delete 1TB on the 15th, you're billed for roughly 1.5TB that month, not 2TB. There's no minimum commitment, so a slow month costs less automatically.

Archive Storage: the same idea, plus no retrieval fees

Archive Storage is billed the same way, average daily usage per TB per month, at a lower per-TB rate in exchange for being the long-term tier. Standard retrievals don't carry a separate fee, so pulling a file back doesn't generate a surprise line item the way it can with some archival tiers elsewhere.

Recovery Ready: a flat rate, then metered overage

Recovery Ready bills differently on purpose, because predictability matters more than granularity for a disaster recovery budget. You pay a flat monthly rate that includes a set amount of replicated storage; if you go over that allotment, the additional storage is billed per TB per month at the published overage rate, calculated the same average-daily-usage way as the other plans.

Recovery Ready is a 1-year term The flat rate is a trade: predictability and priority support in exchange for a 1-year commitment, unlike Active Storage and Archive Storage, which have no minimum term. This is confirmed clearly during your quote before you commit to anything.

Monthly vs. annual billing

Every plan can be billed monthly or annually. Switching to annual billing lowers the effective per-TB or per-month rate; switching between the two takes effect at your next billing cycle, not retroactively. Neither option changes what's included in the plan, only how often you're billed and at what rate.

What's never a separate line item

If your use case involves an unusually high volume of API requests, for example a custom integration doing constant small reads and writes, mention it in the questionnaire so a specialist can confirm it fits standard usage before you build around it.
